BEEF BOURGUIGNON


(recipe from my good friend France B.)
2-3 lbs stewing beef cubes
1 env. onion soup mix
1 can cream of mushroom soup
1/2 can water
1 cup apple juice (you can also use red or white wine)
1 large onion, cut up
1 can mushroom, drained or fresh mushroom

Brown cubes, place in oven casserole.
Sprinkle with onion soup mix.
In another bowl, mix mushroom soup, water and juice.
Pour over cubes, cover and cook in oven for 2-3 hours at 300'F.
Variation: vegetables can be added. Serve over noodles.
