*TOURTIERE*
*MEAT PIE*
(the one I make every year for Christmas)
Pie Shells
In a large frypan, brown:
1 lb. ground beef
1 lb. ground pork
1 medium onion, finely chopped
All spice
Pinch of cloves
Salt and pepper
Garlic powder
1 1/2 cups water
Bring to a boil. Simmer 20 minutes. Add:
3/4 cup breadcrumbs (I use the Italien kind) or 2 medium potatoes, cooked and mashed.
Stir and cool. Put in pie shell.
Bake at 375'F for 1 hour.
