KFC COLESLAW

(this recipe came from a friend who worked at KFC many many years ago)

8 cups very finely chopped cabbage (1 head)
1/4 cup shredded carrot (1 medium carrot)
1/3 cup sugar
Pinch of salt and pepper
1/4 cup milk
1/2 cup mayonnaise
1/4 cup buttermilk
1 1/2 tbsp. white vinegar
2 1/2 tbsp. lemon juice

Make sure the cabbage and carrots are chopped up very fine.
Combine the sugar, salt, pepper, milk, mayonnaise, buttermilk, vinegar, and lemon juice, and beat until smooth.
Add the cabbage and carrots. Mix well. Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving.
Serves 8
-Alisa Guynn... One way to make this better {yes...MUCH better!} is to chop up green peppers and onions to add to the slaw and skip the vinegar and lemon juice TOTALLY. Then add celery seed to the slaw's dressing. I can guarantee that you will not want it made other
than this way. It's beyond yummy.
