1/4 cup butter or margarine
32 large marshmallows
5 cups rice krispies
In a large heavy saucepan, melt the butter. Add the marshmallows and melt over low heat stirring until they are melted. Add the cereal. Stir until well coated.
Press into buttered 8x8 inch pan. Let stand for a few hours to set before cutting.
Makes 25 squares
VARIATION: Melt 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips and spread over top if desired.
